Remember Your Medicine. Create Magic.

I help soul-led creatives, entrepreneurs, healers, and seekers navigate life's thresholds, reconnect with their authentic selves, and create lives filled with meaning, connection, purpose, and a little bit of Magic.

My work brings together psychology, embodied personal growth, ancient wisdom, and spiritual exploration through a transformational approach called The Blooming Method.

Welcome to the Threshold

There comes a moment when the life we've been living no longer feels like the life we're meant to create.

The familiar begins to feel too small.

Old roles no longer fit. The accomplishments we once chased lose some of their shine. And somewhere beneath the expectations, routines, and responsibilities, something deeper begins to stir.

A longing for greater freedom.

A hunger for meaning and authentic connection.

A quiet invitation to live differently.

I believe these moments aren't simply endings.

They're thresholds.

And every threshold offers an invitation to discover something new about ourselves and the world.

My work is devoted to helping people navigate these transitions with curiosity, courage, compassion, and wonder.

Not to become someone entirely different.

But to remember the gifts, wisdom, and possibilities that have been waiting within them all along.

Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

Medicine & Magic: The Heart of My Philosophy

At the center of everything I do is a philosophy I call Medicine & Magic.

And no, I'm not talking about pulling rabbits out of hats. Although I certainly appreciate a little enchantment.

Medicine Is Who You Are

I believe every person carries Medicine.

Not medicine in the pharmaceutical sense, but the unique gifts, creativity, wisdom, truth, and ways of being that only they can bring into the world.

Your Medicine is the part of you that comes alive when you are authentically yourself.

It's the way you create, love, connect, contribute, and participate in life.

Along the way, expectations, conditioning, responsibilities, and the desire to belong can pull us away from those gifts.

We learn who we're supposed to be.

We become skilled at meeting expectations.

And sometimes, without realizing it, we lose touch with the very things that make us extraordinary.

But your Medicine hasn't disappeared.

It is waiting to be remembered.

Magic Is What You Create With It

Magic is what becomes possible when you begin living in alignment with your Medicine.

Sometimes it looks like synchronicity: an unexpected opportunity, a meaningful encounter, or a door opening at just the right moment.

Sometimes it's the very human magic of setting a boundary, sharing your creativity, following an unexpected calling, or finding the courage to begin again.

And sometimes it's simply standing beneath an ancient tree, feeling the wind move through its branches, and remembering that you belong to a world far more mysterious than you can imagine.

To me, Magic isn't about escaping ordinary life.

It's about participating in ordinary life so fully that it becomes extraordinary.

Medicine is who you are.

Magic is what becomes possible when you live it.

The Blooming Method: A Journey of Remembering

Over the years, my experiences with psychology, mythology, somatic practices, spiritual traditions, and personal transformation began to form a framework.

That framework became The Blooming Method.

It's a six-phase approach to personal growth that combines self-discovery, embodied practices, meaningful reflection, ritual, and real-world action.

Rather than offering another set of rules for becoming a better version of yourself, The Blooming Method invites you to cultivate a deeper relationship with who you already are.

The journey unfolds through six phases:

1. Root — Safety & Belonging

Cultivate grounded presence, develop supportive practices, and explore what it means to feel connected to yourself, your community, and the living world.

2. Remember — Identity & Authenticity

Explore the stories, roles, and expectations that have shaped your life. Reconnect with your values, identity, and the parts of yourself ready to be expressed.

3. Release — Freedom & Integration

Create space for new possibilities by examining old habits, practicing self-compassion, and intentionally releasing what no longer serves the life you want to create.

4. Reclaim — Medicine & Purpose

Rediscover your unique gifts, creativity, strengths, and personal wisdom. Explore how your Medicine can inform the choices you make and the life you build.

5. Relate — Connection & Magic

Cultivate meaningful relationships with yourself, others, nature, and the wider world. Explore reciprocity, connection, ritual, and the everyday experience of enchantment.

6. Bloom — Contribution & Legacy

Bring your discoveries into daily life through meaningful action, authentic expression, and contribution. Begin creating a life that reflects your values and the gifts you want to share.

Root. Remember. Release. Reclaim. Relate. Bloom.

Six phases. One ongoing invitation:

Stop abandoning the things that make you who you are, and begin living your Medicine.

Thresholds, Ritual & Initiation

For thousands of years, people across many cultures have marked important life transitions through stories, ceremonies, rituals, and rites of passage.

Birth and adulthood. Partnership and separation. Loss and renewal. The beginning of a new calling.

Although these traditions differ profoundly across cultures, many recognize that life's transitions deserve intention, attention, and meaning.

I've always been fascinated by this.

Because life doesn't unfold in a straight line.

We move through seasons of growth and uncertainty. We shed old identities, encounter unfamiliar possibilities, and discover new ways of participating in the world.

As a Threshold Guide and Initiation Facilitator, I draw inspiration from the symbolism of these passages.

Through guided reflection, embodied practices, storytelling, ritual, and intentional action, I create educational and experiential opportunities for people to explore their own transitions.

Sometimes the work is quiet and contemplative.

Sometimes it's playful, creative, or adventurous.

And sometimes it involves stepping into the woods, listening to the wind, and remembering that transformation doesn't have to happen entirely inside our heads.

The goal isn't to follow someone else's spiritual path.

It's to discover what feels meaningful, authentic, and alive in your own.

My Path: Where Psychology Meets Spirit

I didn't come to this work because I had life figured out.

Far from it.

My journey was shaped by grief, loss, personal challenges, and an ongoing search for meaning.

After losing my parents and navigating difficult chapters of my own life, I found myself asking questions that didn't have simple answers.

What makes life meaningful?

How do we remain connected to ourselves when everything around us changes?

What does it mean to live authentically?

And why do some of life's most challenging moments become invitations to see the world differently?

I found valuable insights in psychology, but my curiosity didn't stop there.

I was equally drawn to mythology, philosophy, contemplative traditions, animism, ritual, and the extraordinary diversity of human spiritual experience.

I wanted a place where psychology and soul could coexist.

Where science and mystery could sit at the same table.

Where intellectual understanding, embodied experience, and spiritual curiosity were all welcome.

That search eventually led me to graduate study in counseling, a career in psychology, and years of exploration with teachers, practitioners, and communities around the world.

I've studied shamanic and animistic practices, energy work, meditation, ritual, and different approaches to understanding consciousness and human experience.

I've learned from Indigenous teachers and other spiritual practitioners, while developing a deep appreciation for the distinct histories and cultural contexts of the traditions they carry.

And I've discovered that some of the most meaningful lessons arrive far beyond classrooms or books.

Around a fire.

Deep in the wilderness.

In conversations with people whose understanding of the world is entirely different from my own.

Or in those unexpected moments when life reminds us that wonder is still possible.

The Blooming Method grew from this meeting place between psychology, embodiment, spirituality, and lived experience.

It reflects the understanding that insight matters, but what we do with that insight matters just as much.

How IĀ Guide the Journey

My approach is grounded in a simple belief:

Personal growth should be something we experience, not just something we understand.

That's why The Blooming Method brings together several complementary approaches:

  • Psychology and self-discovery: Exploring values, beliefs, identity, and patterns through reflective learning.

  • Embodied practices: Using movement, breath, sensory awareness, and guided experiences to cultivate presence and connection.

  • Ritual and ceremony: Creating meaningful practices that mark intentions, transitions, and personal discoveries.

  • Animism and earth-based spirituality: Exploring relationships with nature, the elements, ancestors, and the living world through respectful, personally meaningful practices.

  • Creative expression and imagination: Inviting storytelling, symbolism, journaling, and curiosity into the process.

  • Meaningful action: Translating insights into choices, relationships, creative projects, and everyday life.

I believe genuine exploration requires autonomy.

You always have permission to question, adapt, decline, or discover your own way of working.

You don't have to adopt my spiritual beliefs, experience the world the way I do, or believe in Magic in the same way I do.

Your path belongs to you.

I'm simply here to offer a map, some tools, and a little encouragement along the way.

LifeĀ Beyond the Work

Beyond my professional life, I'm a husband, father to fur-babies, geek, spiritual explorer, and lifelong adventurer.

Wilderness, travel, and adventure have shaped me as profoundly as any formal education.

I've traveled to more than 40 countries across six continents, sailed the Pacific Rim, scuba-dived the Great Barrier Reef, tracked mountain lions in Argentina, and caught wild crocodiles by hand in Africa.

I've wandered through ancient landscapes, encountered extraordinary wildlife, and met people whose stories have expanded my understanding of what it means to be human.

Again and again, these experiences remind me that life is larger, stranger, wilder, and more wonderful than we often remember.

They've also taught me that adventure isn't always found on the other side of the world.

Sometimes the greatest adventure is allowing yourself to become more fully who you are.

And sometimes, if we're lucky, there's a little bit of both.

Background, Training, and Experience

My work is informed by more than two decades of experience in psychology, extensive professional training, and ongoing exploration of contemplative and spiritual traditions.

My background includes:

Professional Background

  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (Utah)

  • More than 20 years working in psychology

  • Graduate-level training in counseling and human behavior

  • Experience in hospitals, community mental health, residential settings, and private practice

Psychology & Embodied Approaches

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Mindfulness and somatic approaches

  • Internal Family Systems-informed perspectives

  • EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) training

  • Natural Processing and heart-centered hypnotherapy training

Spiritual & Experiential Studies

  • Shamanic and animistic practices

  • Training and mentorship with spiritual teachers and elders

  • Ritual, ceremony, and contemplative traditions

  • Reiki II certification

  • Mythology, symbolism, and earth-based spiritual exploration

This diverse background shapes how I understand the human experience and develop educational programs.

An important distinction: The Blooming Method offers entertainment, personal growth education, guided practices, and spiritual exploration. Its courses, rituals, and community experiences areĀ NOT psychotherapy, clinical treatment, or a substitute for mental health or medical care.

My licensed clinical practice is a separate professional service.

A Final Thought: Remember Your Medicine. Create Magic.

At its heart, this work is about remembering.

Remembering that you are more than the roles you've played.

More than the expectations you've carried.

More than the stories you've been told about who you should become.

You are a living, breathing expression of possibility.

You carry gifts that deserve to be explored.

Wisdom that deserves to be heard.

Creativity that deserves expression.

And a life that deserves to be lived with intention, connection, and wonder.

The goal is not perfection.

The goal is not endless self-improvement.

The invitation is to remember your Medicine.

And from that place, create a life that feels authentically, meaningfully, and unapologetically your own.

That's where the Magic begins.

And that, to me, is what it means to bloom.
